Sturbridge Girls Softball

Sturbridge Girls Softball League is a USA Softball sanctioned league, non profit organization, dedicated to providing a quality recreational softball experience to girls ages 3-14U. Players may reside in Sturbridge or surrounding areas, and we happily welcome players of all experience levels into our program. We offer Spring and Fall rec programs, as well as Winter Workouts at a training facility in Southbridge. Our players are supported by the generosity and partnership of local businesses. Their support allows SGSL to keep the cost to play low, and provide scholarships to players in need. purchase much needed new equipment, improve our fields, and provide fun experiences for our families like Jamboree, Softball with Santa, clinics and more. Our current enrollment for Spring is 180 girls. Registration has closed for the Spring season. Fall registration will open in July.

For players interested in advancing their softball skills, competition and experiences, we offer Sturbridge Storm. This division offers a travel ball experience to 8U-14U players on a selected, tryout basis. Girls travel across Massachusetts, Connecticut, and Rhode Island, proudly representing their hometown of Sturbridge. Players train year round for this highly competitive program. Our current enrollment for Storm is 55 girls.

For the BIG KIDS, we offer a Sturbridge Adult Softball League. This program runs June-August, and is a slow pitch, coed softball division, usually resulting in six teams ages 16-82, battling for the coveted Sturbridge Cup. Our enrollment averages 80 adult coed players.

We pride ourselves in offering something for everyone, and our mission is to provide as many positive experiences as possible, on and off the field.
